Back in 2011, we started Rosemary Kitchen and Coffee Shop with nothing more than a small courtyard, a love for good food, and a big dream — to build a peaceful place in the middle of Thamel where people could relax, eat well, and feel at home.
Thamel has always been full of energy — music, color, and people from all over the world. But we felt something was missing: a calm, cozy spot where travelers and locals could slow down and enjoy a proper meal or a good cup of coffee. So we rolled up our sleeves, planted some herbs, set a few tables, and opened our doors.
In the beginning, it was just a few of us running the place — cooking, serving, chatting with guests. We didn’t have a fancy setup, but we had heart. And slowly, people started coming in, staying longer, and bringing their friends. That’s how we grew — one plate, one smile, and one conversation at a time.
Over the years, our little courtyard has turned into something more. It’s where people celebrate, catch up, or simply take a break from the chaos outside. And though we’ve added more items to the menu and a few more chairs, the soul of Rosemary Kitchen hasn’t changed.
We’re still here — serving fresh food, brewing coffee with care, and welcoming everyone who walks in like an old friend.
